About Tuber melanosporum
The black truffle, a jewel of gastronomy, is an underground fungus (Tuber melanosporum) renowned for its intense aroma and unique flavour. Harvested mainly between November and March, it grows in symbiosis with the roots of certain trees, particularly oak. This black diamond of the culinary world is a seasonal and precious product sought after by gastronomes worldwide. France – especially the Périgord, Drôme des Collines and Vaucluse regions – is internationally recognised for the quality of its black truffles. Italy and Spain also produce this exceptional fungus during the same season, while Argentina and Australia harvest during the opposite season. Truffle hunting is a traditional craft carried out with specially trained dogs capable of detecting its distinctive aroma.

Usage advice
Enhance your dishes with black truffle. To preserve its delicate aromas, avoid long cooking times or excessively high temperatures, which may alter its flavour. For an optimal tasting experience, we recommend using approximately 10 grams per person or 10% of the infused fat content. Black truffle pairs beautifully with eggs, pasta, meats, fish and vegetables. Let your creativity shine and impress your guests. For optimal storage, wrap the truffle in a damp cloth and keep refrigerated.

Delivery Information
Truffles are shipped from Monday to Thursday morning in refrigerated trucks (ChronoFresh), ensuring optimal temperature control throughout transport.
